Cagliari announced the transfer of Maldini

Cagliari announced on its official website the signing of a contract with Atalanta midfielder Daniel Maldini. The rental agreement with the 24-year-old Italian is calculated until the end of the season. The contract also includes a buyout option, which will become mandatory if certain conditions are met. According to the media, the lease amount will be one million euros, and the buyout option will be eight million euros plus one million as bonuses. A four-year contract has already been agreed for the midfielder - until the summer of 2031. Maldini moved to Atalanta in February 2025 and managed to spend 22 matches with the team and scored three goals. In the second half of last season, he played for Lazio on loan, making ten appearances and scoring two goals. Earlier it was reported that Esposito had a quarrel with Cagliari and was close to leaving: Napoli and Atalanta are fighting for the forward.
