Fenerbahce is one step away from the transfer of Lukaku

Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku managed to recover from the injury that ruined his previous club season before the start of the 2026 World Cup and took part in the tournament as part of his national team. However, the future of the 33-year-old performer in the Italian Napoli seemed closed, so a year before the end of the contract, the experienced forward was actively looking for a new club. In the end, only Turkish side Fenerbahce were able to meet the player's demands, offering a €8m contract + bounces per season until 2028 with the option to extend for another campaign. The Canaries are currently negotiating with Napoli, who are offered 10 million euros for the player + bonuses. It is reported that the parties are very close to reaching an agreement and the transfer will be completed soon. Last season, Lukaku made seven appearances and scored one goal.
