Heiberg will not move to Newcastle

Newcastle have failed to agree a transfer deal for Pierre-Emile Geibjerg after fresh talks took place in the final hours. This was reported by insider. According to the insider, the 31-year-old Dane rejected Newcastle's offer, despite the English club's willingness to pay the amount demanded by Marseille. As such, a move for Højbjerg to Newcastle will not happen unless things change soon. Geibjerg has considerable experience at the highest level, having previously represented Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspur. In the 2025/26 season, he played 32 matches in Ligue 1, scoring four goals and five assists.
