According to Diario AS, the new head coach of the "creamy" Jose Mourinho plans to use the Englishman in the "ten" position in the 4-2-3-1 scheme. The Portuguese specialist understands that Bellingham can play deeper in the midfield if necessary, but believes that the midfielder will be most effective in front of someone else's penalty area. In the 2025/26 season, 23-year-old Bellingham took part in 40 matches in all competitions, scoring 8 goals and 5 assists. The first official match in the new season will be played by the Madrid club away from home against Espanyol. The game will take place on August 22.
