The Srivadhanaprabha family, which owns Leicester, has decided to put the English club up for sale. Materials with detailed information about the team and its assets are already being sent to potential investors.
According to insider sources, not only the football club, but also the academy, the home stadium and the training complex appear in the presentation materials. Leicester moved to a new base only six years ago.
The current owners expect to receive about 300 million dollars for the club. At the same time, sources believe that the real amount of the deal may be significantly lower and amount to approximately $200 million.
The Srivadhanaprabha family bought Leicester in 2010, paying £35m for the club. The greatest success of the team during this period was the sensational championship of England in the 2015/16 season.
Recent years have been much more difficult for Leicester. The club suffered serious financial losses, and according to the results of the last season, the team was relegated to League 1 - the third strongest division of English football.
Now the owners are hoping to find an investor willing to buy the club and take over the further development of Leicester.
