Galatasaray resumed negotiations for Leau after mitigating demands from Milan

Galatasaray has resumed negotiations with Milan regarding the transfer of Rafael Leau.
According to Football Italia, the parties have returned to dialogue after the Italian club softened their initial financial demands.
Previously, Milan wanted to receive 50 million euros of guaranteed amount and another 10 million in bonuses for the 27-year-old Portuguese. It was such demands that stopped Galatasaray, which offered 40 million euros for this.
The Italians are now willing to consider an offer lower than the previous €50 million, provided bonuses are included in the deal. At the same time, the Turkish club has not yet sent an official written offer to Milan.
Galatasaray also attempted to sign Gabriel Martinelli from Arsenal, but had their €45 million bid rejected. Benfica and Fenerbahce also showed interest in Leau, but none of these options reached the stage of an official offer due to differences in the evaluation of the player.
Leau has a contract with Milan until June 2028. At the same time, the club does not plan to extend the agreement with the Portuguese, which may further push the parties to find a solution already this summer.
The fact that Leau was not included in Milan's application for Saturday's friendly match against Manchester United was also indicative. The future of the winger at San Siro remains uncertain.
