Everton are leading the race for Delap

Everton are currently leading the race for Chelsea striker Liam Delap, who the London club are planning to sell this summer, according to TEAMtalk. The Toffees have already held talks with the Blues over a possible deal - Chelsea value the 23-year-old forward at £50m. The player himself wants to continue his career in England, so Manchester United, Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest are considered among the alternatives. However, Everton are currently the favorites in the race, thanks in part to David Moyes' long-standing interest in the player. The 23-year-old Englishman failed to live up to expectations in his debut season at Stamford Bridge, scoring just one goal in 28 Premier League appearances and has been left out of the starting XI due to stiff competition for the forward position.
