According to leading football insider insider, Barcelona and Portuguese side Braga have reached an agreement in principle regarding the full transfer of 19-year-old midfielder Tommy Marquez. The player himself has already given his final consent to move to Portugal.
The deal includes €10 million in guaranteed base pay + €2 million in potential performance bonuses. Barcelona also retained the right to part of the funds from the player's next transfer.
Borussia Dortmund, known for its ability to reveal the potential of young football players, showed serious interest in the young talent.
However, the key factor in the selection of Marquez was the question of playing time. The Spaniard is convinced that Braga is currently the best option for his immediate professional development, stable game practice and adaptation at the highest level.
Last season, the prodigy made his debut for an adult team. On February 7, the pupil of the Catalans came on as a substitute in the 84th minute in the match against Mallorca (3:0). The title on Tommy's account is two matches in La Liga and the title of champion of Spain.
