The coach reported after the game that Ukrainian striker Viktor Tsygankov refused to come on as a substitute during the match. And after that, local journalist Neil Sola reported that Tsygankov was not the only player who boycotted the coach's demand to join the game — forward Vladyslav Vanat also refused to go to warm-up when Alvarez approached him. The representative of the mass media claims that such behavior of the Ukrainians "was very badly received in the dressing room of Girona". Quique Alvarez's team will play their next match against Cordoba.
