Manchester United and Newcastle will compete for Baleba

Manchester United continue to monitor Carlos Baleba, whom the club has been monitoring for over a year. According to Mail Sport, Brighton can now accept an offer in the region of £60-65m. The Seagulls previously valued the 22-year-old Cameroonian midfielder at around £100m, so the new potential price is significantly lower. Newcastle also joined the fight for Baleb. The Magpies view the footballer as an important option to strengthen the midfield after major changes to the squad. In the 2025/26 season, Baleba took part in 35 matches for Brighton in all competitions, without scoring any goals. The authoritative portal Transfermarkt estimates the market value of the midfielder at 55 million euros.
