The winger of Girona and the national team of Ukraine Viktor Tsygankov broke his silence after the loud scandal that broke out in the first round of the Spanish Segunda against Leganes (1:1). Having entered the application for the opening match of the championship, the 28-year-old Ukrainian refused to change into his uniform and remained on the stand. After the final whistle, head coach Kike Karsel confirmed the player's demarche, saying that he personally did not want to go on the football field. This incident caused a wave of indignation within the club and in the team's dressing room. In response to the accusations, Tsygankov published a series of telling stories on his Instagram. The football player posted screenshots of a private correspondence with an official representative of Girona, where the club ultimatum reminds the Ukrainian about the prohibition to express his position in the media without the permission of the management: "We remind you that according to the club's internal rules, any public communication, interview or interaction with mass media must be pre-agreed and organized by the club's press officer." In the next message, the representative of the club directly warned the Ukrainian about possible disciplinary punishment for trying to speak out. "Hello, Victor. We remind you that according to the terms of your contract (as well as the rest of your teammates) regarding communication with the press: for any public communication, interview, etc., you must obtain permission in advance from the head of the press service of the Club [name withheld]. The journalist contacted us, and we replied that we do not allow interviews with players at the moment. You have already been informed by [name withheld], so you you know you don't have permission from FC Girona." The culmination of Tsygankov's reaction was the third publication. The football player posted an eloquent image of a man being forced to close his mouth with his hand, adding the caption: "Someday I will speak." Earlier there was information that Tsygankov wanted to move to Celta.
