Torrents changed Barcelona to Ajax

Ajax officially announced the transfer of Barcelona's left defender Jofre Torrents. The 19-year-old Spaniard signed a contract with the Dutch club until June 30, 2030. Ajax will pay Barcelona about 6 million euros for the player's transfer. At the same time, the Catalans took care of maintaining control over the player's future: the club received 50% of the rights to his next transfer, and also included a buyback option in the agreement. Torrents is a pupil of Barcelona and got the opportunity to debut for the first team last season. He made four appearances in the 2025/26 campaign, playing a total of 112 minutes in La Liga and the Copa del Rey. Now the Spaniard will continue his career in the Netherlands, where he will have the opportunity to get more game practice and develop at an adult level.
