Corinthians is trying to negotiate a contract extension with Depay

Corinthians continues to work to keep Memphis Depay despite financial difficulties. The two sides resumed talks after the club earlier withdrew its offer. The total value of the new agreement is estimated at approximately 25 million euros, taking into account the previous debt. The management of Corinthians wants to reduce this amount by approximately 5 million euros. Club president Osmar Stabile is awaiting a Corinthians board meeting, after which the negotiation process should continue. Depay himself is interested in staying in the Brazilian team. According to Globo, the attacker is ready to meet the club regarding the payment terms so that the parties can reach an agreement.
