The pupil of Dynamo Kyiv will continue his career in the lower division of Germany

Ukrainian forward Dmytro Bogdanov officially became a player of the German club Energie Cottbus. According to the press service of the team, the lease agreement is for one year - until the end of the current season. The transfer was preceded by an important event: at the beginning of August, Bogdanov signed a new long-term agreement with the Berlin Union, which will be valid until the summer of 2029. Last season, the striker showed high performance, playing 17 matches in all competitions for the Berliners (mostly at the youth level), in which he scored 15 goals and 2 assists. The student of Dynamo Kyiv also managed to make his debut for the main team: he played three matches (two of them in the Bundesliga) and provided one assist. We will remind that Bogdanov joined the Union structure in August 2025 from Dynamo Dresden for 600,000 euros. This summer, the talented forward defended the colors of the youth national team of Ukraine at the U-19 European Championship. In total, he has played 13 matches and scored 3 goals for the national team of this age category. Currently, the authoritative portal Transfermarkt estimates the football player at 800,000 euros. After the results of the last campaign, Energy took the second place in the third strongest division and won the right to promotion in the class. The new season in the Second Bundesliga started confidently: after the first two rounds, the team has 3 points and is on the eighth place in the standings. For a 19-year-old Ukrainian, this will be a great chance to gain a foothold in adult European football.
