Inter agreed to sign Jones

0
Inter reached a verbal agreement with Liverpool for the transfer of midfielder Curtis Jones. This was reported by insider insider. According to Romano, Liverpool have told Inter they want around €35m plus bonuses (€31m fixed plus €4m bonuses) for the player - no less than the amount the Italian club paid for Jed Spence. The package agreement was reached at this level, and Milan also agreed on the personal terms of the contract directly with the footballer - the next step will be a medical examination. This was the result of negotiations that lasted practically the entire summer: the Nerazzurri were interested in the player since January, but the first offers in the range of €20-25 million were rejected by Liverpool, insisting in essence closer to €40 million. The 25-year-old Englishman is a Liverpool academy graduate who made his first-team debut in 2019 and has made 228 appearances for the club, where he has spent his entire career, also scoring 22 goals and providing 25 assists. The player was out of contract in the summer of 2027, so for the Merseysiders, selling now allows them to get decent compensation rather than risk losing the player for free in a year.
