According to insider, quoted by The Touchline, the Portuguese midfielder has complaints not only about the proposed level of wages. Fernandes is also not satisfied with the term of the new contract and the size of the severance pay prescribed in it. The 31-year-old remains one of Manchester United's key players and wears the captain's armband. Fernandez's current contract with the club runs until the summer of 2027. At the same time, the Mancunians have the option of automatically extending it for another season.
