Japanese central defender Ko Itakura has a relatively short, but quite rich professional career. At one time, the adventures of the now 29-year-old performer in Europe began with a transfer to the English Manchester City, after which he went on loan to Groningen in the Netherlands, Schalke in Germany, and finally ended up in Borussia Mönchengladbach. A three-year period of performances for the "stallions" led to the transfer of the player to Amsterdam Ajax, but he stayed there for exactly one year. And this summer, Borussia bought the football player's contract for a total of 4 million euros, while selling it for 10.5 million euros. The agreement was signed until 2030. Last season, due to a back injury, Itakura played 26 matches and scored one goal.
