Bayern Munich has officially clarified the situation surrounding the health of its 23-year-old midfielder Jamal Musiala. Over the past week, the player has fainted several times during matches, causing serious concern in the football community. After Tuesday's match against Heidenheim, Musial personally addressed fans via Instagram, revealing that he had been diagnosed with absence seizures caused by a neurological dysfunction. The football player emphasized that there is no additional risk to his health, and he is determined to continue playing. On Friday, member of the sports council Max Eberl and head coach Vincent Kompany assured that the management has full control of the situation. It turned out that the medical staff of Bavaria has been working with this diagnosis for at least a year. Recent disturbing incidents have occurred due to an attempt to change the treatment protocol. He changed his treatment and it had some side effects. It's perfectly fine to try something different. Now we want to go back to the way it was before - when nobody knew anything about it," Kompany explained. Eberl added that the current task of the doctors is to readjust the dosage of the drugs to return the player to the long-term seizure-free state that was observed all last season. Musiala will train on an individual program next week. To avoid unnecessary risk and excessive attention, Musiala was not included in the application for Saturday's German Super Cup match against Borussia Dortmund. In addition to him, Serge Gnabry and Lennart Carl will not enter the Signal Iduna Park field. Despite personnel problems, Vincent Kompany remains optimistic and aims to win the first trophy of the season on the field of a principled rival, noting the high quality of Dortmund's game. Bayern will begin its defense of the title in the Bundesliga on August 28 with a home match against Stuttgart.
