The Egyptian, who ended his contract with Liverpool as the third top scorer in the club's history (257 goals in 442 matches), spent 64 minutes on the pitch but could not save the day. However, he publicly defended the team. "Nothing in my career has ever been easy. Bad nights and disappointments are part of football and I have learned to turn them into motivation and trophies. Trabzonspor is my club and I am part of this project body and soul. Last night will not change that. I know the expectations are high and I truly believe we can achieve them. I came here to win is not just a slogan for me," - wrote Salah on the X Network.
