Nottingham Forest will buy the Crystal Palace star for 22 million pounds

Nottingham Forest have reached an agreement in principle with London Crystal Palace for the transfer of right-back Daniel Munoz. The deal is worth at least £22m. Currently, the 30-year-old Colombian footballer has already received permission to undergo a medical examination to finalize the transfer. This transfer will be a long-awaited reunion: at Forest, Munoz will work again under the leadership of Oliver Glasner. It was under the guidance of this specialist at Selhurst Park that the Colombian became a key player for the Eagles and played a decisive role in winning historic trophies - the FA Cup and the UEFA Conference League. Negotiations between the clubs lasted for several days, but they accelerated significantly after Friday's crushing defeat of Palace against Manchester City with a score of 1:4. Munoz, who had just under two years left on his current contract, spent this match on the bench, although he had previously played in the Premier League opener against Everton (0:2). In total, since his transfer from Belgian Genk in 2024, the defender played 109 matches for the Londoners and scored 11 goals. Crystal Palace, currently led by Pierre Sage, are already ready to lose their leader. The club signed Anan Halaili from Belgium's Royal Union earlier this summer, and the Israeli international is expected to take Munoz's place on the wing. Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest's transfer campaign is gaining momentum. As well as signing Munoz, the Foresters have made a hugely ambitious £40m bid (with a possible resale clause) for young Everton midfielder Harrison Armstrong.
