Arsenal Transfer News: Bouaddi Talks Advance, Barcola Keeps Options Open, Scott Not for Sale
0
Arsenal have received a clear signal from Lille over Ayyoub Bouaddi, Bradley Barcola is yet to decide his future, and Bournemouth have shut the door on Alex Scott — all in a busy Sunday of transfer activity.
Lille president Olivier Letang pushed back against claims that a fee has been set for Bouaddi, telling Eurosport that no figure has been discussed. The 18-year-old Morocco star has been linked with a move to north London, with reports of an initial approach from Arsenal. But Letang insisted that only a handful of clubs can afford a player of Bouaddi's profile, comparing his value to older midfielders like Sandro Tonali and Elliot Anderson, who moved for significant sums with limited room for growth.
Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola is keeping his options open. Transfer expert insider confirmed that Arsenal are among the clubs interested, but the French international is focused on the World Cup and has not indicated a preference. Liverpool are also monitoring the situation. Arsenal remain prioritising a deal for Morgan Rogers, with Barcola viewed as a fallback if that move falls through.
On the Scott front, Bournemouth have made their stance clear. TalkSPORT's Ben Jacobs reported that the Cherries have reiterated they have no intention of selling the midfielder, who helped the club secure Europa League qualification. Despite Arsenal's admiration and a reported enquiry, Bournemouth are pushing for Scott to sign a new contract and have rejected any notion of a €93 million (£80m) transfer.
