insider reveals Barcola to Liverpool will happen - but not for €170m

insider has poured cold water on claims that Bradley Barcola has already agreed personal terms with Liverpool, but the transfer insider insists a deal is only a matter of time. The PSG and France winger, 23, has emerged as the Merseyside club's primary target to eventually replace Mohamed Salah. Reports from L'Equipe suggested the two parties had sealed personal terms, but Romano - speaking exclusively - corrected that assumption. "Now suddenly people are saying the agreement on personal terms is done. Not yet. It will get done because I don't think that will be a problem. Barcola wants to go to Liverpool, but we have to go step by step," Romano said. He also dismissed the €170 million (£145m) price tag PSG have reportedly slapped on Barcola. "It will not be a €170m transfer fee, but it will still be a very big amount of money," he added. "The relationship between Liverpool and PSG is very good, but then there is the financial aspect." Romano confirmed the two clubs are already in contact over the structure of an official bid, though he insisted no offer has been sent yet. "It is going to take a few more days," he said. Meanwhile, Bournemouth's Brazilian winger Rayan - valued at €100m via a release clause active next summer - could play a key role in the saga. Liverpool view the 19-year-old as an alternative, but PSG are tracking him as a direct replacement for Barcola should the Frenchman leave. The Parisians missed out on Yan Diomande to Real Madrid and would need a like-for-like reinforcement. With PSG's strong ties to Bournemouth, a swift move for Rayan could accelerate Barcola's departure to Anfield.
