The Frenchman has been in talks over a deal to join Pierre Sage’s side for several days and after a transfer was finalised between Chelsea and Palace last week, Disasi has now accepted a move to Selhurst Park. That is according to RMC transfer reporter Fabrice Hawkins , who posted on X: “Agreement reached between Axel Disasi and Crystal Palace. Medical scheduled for this afternoon. An agreement had already been reached between Chelsea and Crystal Palace. Loan deal with no option to buy.” Chelsea were initially keen to sell Disasi on a permanent deal this summer, but he wasn’t willing to drop down to the Championship to rejoin West Ham United and no other suitor expressed their desire to agree a transfer fee, which allowed Palace to swoop with a loan proposal. Disasi will replace his compatriot Maxence Lacroix in the Crystal Palace backline, following the 26-year-old’s move to Chelsea in July, and he could make his debut for the club when they host Manchester City on Friday night. The Frenchman caught the eye on loan at West Ham during the second half of last season, after being frozen out by ex-Blues boss Enzo Maresca, and his move to Palace will be his third loan deal away from Chelsea. When his loan move to Crystal Palace is officially confirmed, Disasi will become the first of several Chelsea stars to leave Stamford Bridge before the end of Deadline Day, with the Blues desperate to reduce the size of Alonso’s first-team squad. Mamadou Sarr, Aaron Anselmino and Mykhailo Mudryk are also expected to depart on loan deals for the 2026-27 season, while Chelsea are keen to offload Caleb Wiley, Omari Kellyman, David Datro Fofana and Deivid Washington, all of whom have been major transfer flops in west London. In addition, the club are hoping to raise close to €165m through the permanent sales of Nicolas Jackson, Liam Delap and Marc Guiu before the summer transfer window closes. In regards to incomings, Chelsea are expected to be fairly inactive, although they will rekindle their interest in Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott if Manchester City submit a €140 million bid for Enzo Fernandez before the end of Transfer Deadline Day.
