Pedro Neto exit close as Chelsea choose replacement

Chelsea bid lands as €40m Pedro Neto replacement chosen Make us your Google favourite Chelsea do not want to lose any key players in the final days of the transfer window, but there could yet be some major movement around Pedro Neto . The Portugal international has become a target for at least three major teams in recent weeks, with Man City, Tottenham and Al-Hilal all expressing an interest in signing him. Man City want Neto as a replacement for Tottenham-bound Savinho. Despite signing the Brazilian, Spurs want more wingers and could still make a move for Neto should they fail to agree a deal with Liverpool for Cody Gakpo. Finally, there is Al-Hilal, who have seemingly become the most concrete option for the 26-year-old in recent days. Some reports have claimed that personal terms are already in place and that a move is "getting closer." Chelsea have slapped an asking price of more than €100 million on Neto because they would ideally prefer to keep him this late in the window. However, at this stage, it can't be guaranteed that he will indeed stay put. Chelsea choose Neto replacement This has been corroborated by . The outlet has revealed that Chelsea have rejected a bid from AS Roma for because the player is not available for loan or a permanent transfer. If there is a winger who could still be on the move this summer, it is Neto. With the Portuguese winger's future uncertain, Chelsea have been scouring the market for possible replacements. According to , one possible option is Juventus star . Yet again, Jorge Mendes is involved . The superagent represents both Neto and Conceicao, and recent reports suggested that Chelsea had teamed up with him to sort out their Enzo Fernandez mess. There have also been claims that Mendes has offered Rafael Leao to the Blues. The Italian outlet writes that "Mendes is one step away from finalising Pedro Neto's transfer to Al-Hilal," and with Chelsea unconvinced by Leao, he is now pushing Conceicao to Stamford Bridge. The player would prefer to stay at Juventus - he only joined them permanently last year - but the Serie A giants may not be in a position to turn their nose up at a potential fee in the region of €40m. They have struggled to sell their deadwood this summer and need the money. Juventus do not consider Conceicao untouchable, so there is a real chance that they will look to cash in on the 23-year-old if Mendes arrives with a suitable offer from Chelsea. Should Neto indeed leave, his compatriot would become the Blues' top target. Conceicao is coming off a fairly underwhelming first full season at Juventus. He only produced four goals and five assists in just under 2,700 minutes last term. Neto, who certainly isn't the most decisive of wingers, notched 10 goals and 10 assists in close to 3,800 minutes. Conceicao currently has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €27.4m, so a €40m fee would be a substantial overpay. That said, data analytics firm SciSports notes that the Portuguese winger has enjoyed significant positive development since the turn of the year. What's more, his current level is thought to be almost on par with Neto's. He wouldn't be the most exciting of signings - and he's certainly not an upgrade - but it also wouldn't be an egregiously poor deal for Chelsea.
