Chelsea Transfer Digest: Endrick Contact, Badiashile Loan Talk, Rowe Stays Put, Jackson Warning
0
Chelsea has emerged as a potential destination for Endrick after the Real Madrid forward's representatives made contact, according to reports.
The Brazil international is concerned about his role under Jose Mourinho this season, especially after Madrid added Carlos Espi and Yan Diomande. His camp is now exploring options, and Chelsea - known as a long-standing admirer - has been among the clubs contacted. Real Madrid, however, is currently only willing to consider a loan.
Napoli, meanwhile, is weighing whether to make another push for Chelsea defender Benoit Badiashile. Initial talks between the clubs exposed a clear gap in valuation, leading the Serie A side to consider alternatives. The door is not closed, though. Napoli could return with a fresh approach if Chelsea is open to a loan with a conditional purchase obligation rather than an outright sale this summer.
Jonathan Rowe has ended speculation over his future by confirming he is happy to stay at Bologna. The former Norwich City prospect has been linked with a Premier League return, but Bologna is not willing to sell the English winger. Rowe says he has accepted the decision.
'I'd say so [the matter is closed]. Now I'm a Bologna player, this is a great club with clear ideas and a new project I'm 100% focused on. I feel part of this world, I don't think about anything else and I'm not interested in anything else.'
There is also a warning for Chelsea in SciSports' latest data. The analytics firm believes the club would be making a major mistake by selling Nicolas Jackson. The Senegal international was forced out on loan to Bayern last summer, and Chelsea is now looking to sell him permanently after signing Emmanuel Emegha and Danny Welbeck. SciSports, however, rates Jackson as Chelsea's best striker and one of the best center-forwards in world football, suggesting Chelsea is risking a serious blunder.
