Mudryk gets Chelsea audition, Acheampong no longer untouchable as Jorgensen and Chalobah near exits

Chelsea are ready to give Mykhailo Mudryk a chance to play in pre-season before deciding whether to send him out on loan. media reports the Ukraine international is back in the picture after the FA and WADA resolved his doping case, and several clubs have already asked about a temporary move. The Blues are not rushing, even though Mudryk has not played a competitive match since November 2024. He has linked up with the squad at their training camp in Hong Kong.
The club's stance on Josh Acheampong has also changed. sources says Chelsea are prepared to let the defender leave on loan because Xabi Alonso wants only four or five centre-backs in his squad. That means a number of defenders could move on this summer, with Acheampong among those likely to be given more minutes elsewhere. It is a significant shift: the media reported last month that the England Under-21 international was considered untouchable and expected to stay and fight for his place.
Filip Jorgensen is close to following academy product Genesis Antwi to Strasbourg. sources reporter Nizaar Kinsella understands the goalkeeper's loan to the Ligue 1 club is 99.9 percent likely to happen, with both sides operating under the BlueCo ownership group. Jorgensen had already asked to leave Chelsea in July in search of regular football. He arrived from Villarreal for €23m in July 2024 on a seven-year contract, but he could not displace Robert Sanchez as Chelsea's No. 1, making 36 appearances across the last two seasons.
Strasbourg have confirmed the signing of Antwi on a season-long loan. The 19-year-old right-back, a Sweden Under-21 international, scored twice in 31 youth-team appearances for Chelsea last season and is rated as a future star. He is expected to play a significant role at Strasbourg, especially with Guela Doue tipped to leave. Doue, 23, has been strongly linked with Paris Saint-Germain, where he would join his younger brother Desire, 21.
Trevoh Chalobah is on the verge of joining Como. According to insider, the two clubs have agreed a €30m fixed fee with a further €6m in add-ons, plus a sell-on clause. Como have been busy in the transfer market, signing Danny Welbeck, Valentin Barco and Jordan Henderson in the past week, and are now prioritising departures. Chalobah is set to earn €4m net per season and will have the opportunity to play Champions League football under Cesc Fabregas. Romano called it a "Here We Go" and added that the defender has wanted to play in Italy for several years.
