Chelsea agree €30m Trevoh Chalobah sale to Como after Romano 'here we go'

Trevoh Chalobah is leaving Chelsea for Como. The two clubs have reached a full agreement for the defender, with insider confirming the move on X with his trademark 'here we go.' Romano reported that Como have a verbal agreement in place with Chelsea at a €30m fixed fee, plus €6m in add-ons and a sell-on clause. The England centre-back wanted the move to Italy and is ready for Champions League football. Chalobah, who made one appearance for England at this summer's World Cup, had been in talks with Como for several weeks. The Italian club's interest has now led to a completed club-to-club agreement. Inter Milan were also keen, but would not match Chelsea's demands and instead signed John Stones on a Bosman move after his Manchester City contract expired. The centre-back made 47 appearances in all competitions last season and scored three goals. Chelsea have decided to let him go permanently after Levi Colwill returned to full fitness and the club brought in Maxence Lacroix from Crystal Palace. The Blues are also close to sending Benoit Badiashile to Napoli on loan, and Crystal Palace have made their first bid for Axel Disasi as Xabi Alonso prepares for his debut season in charge. Once the transfer is official, Chalobah will become Como's sixth signing of the summer window. He will also be the fifth Chelsea player to leave for a fee this summer, following Andrey Santos, Marc Cucurella, Tyrique George and Jimmy-Jay Morgan. He joined Chelsea at eight years old and made 151 first-team appearances for the club. Meanwhile, Chelsea have spent just under €400m this summer on Morgan Rogers, Maxence Lacroix, Marco Palestra, Geovany Quenda, Valentin Barco, Emmanuel Emegha, Denner, Danny Welbeck and Dastan Satpaev. Jordan Henderson is also expected to arrive from Brentford on a free transfer.
