Al-Hilal agree £68.3m deal for West Ham winger Summerville

Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal have reached an agreement with West Ham to sign Dutch winger Crysencio Summerville for a fee of £68.3 million. The 24-year-old Netherlands international has been handed a long-term contract and has been given the green light to undergo a medical ahead of the move to Riyadh. West Ham had earlier turned down an offer worth around £40 million for Summerville, who was also linked with Aston Villa. But a switch to Al-Hilal is now on the verge of completion. The deal represents a significant financial boost for the Hammers, who were relegated from the Premier League in May. They have already banked £85 million from the sale of midfielder Mateus Fernandes to Tottenham last month, while announcing that forward Jarrod Bowen has signed a restructured contract to stay at the club in the Championship. West Ham have kept faith with manager Nuno Espirito Santo as they aim to bounce straight back to the top flight in the 2026-27 season.
