The Brazil international has been tipped to leave Mikel Arteta’s side for several weeks and it has been reported that Galatasaray are in talks over a possible deal to bring the 25-year-old to Istanbul. Galatasaray have reportedly submitted an offer worth €45m for Martinelli, however sources has been told that a deal will rely entirely on whether Arsenal can sign a replacement. Furthermore, we understand that it’s highly unlikely that Arsenal would accept a sale for €45m, especially given the fees paid for other forwards so far this summer, including Anthony Gordon, who joined Barcelona in a deal worth up to €80m. Martinelli has just one year remaining on his current contract at the Emirates Stadium, although Arsenal have the option to extend his deal by a further 12 months if they wish.
