Jurgen Klopp open to Germany job, says Ben Jacobs

0
Jurgen Klopp, currently on a sabbatical after leaving Liverpool, is reportedly willing to consider an offer to become the head coach of the German national team. Journalist Ben Jacobs has shared the information, citing sources close to the situation. According to Jacobs, the 56-year-old manager has not ruled out working with the German Football Association (DFB) and sees the role as a potentially exciting challenge. While no formal talks have taken place yet, Klopp has supposedly indicated to those around him that he would not turn down a conversation should a concrete approach arrive. Germany are currently preparing for a home European Championship under Julian Nagelsmann, whose contract runs only until the summer of 2024. If the DFB decides to make a change after the tournament, Klopp could emerge as the prime candidate. The former Liverpool boss has repeatedly emphasized his need for a break after nine intense years at Anfield, but the chance to lead his native country might alter his timeline. Jacobs stresses that this remains at an exploratory stage — no agreement exists. However, the interest appears mutual.
