Manuel Akanji: 'I told the coach it was my last ever penalty'

Switzerland defender Manuel Akanji dropped a bombshell after his team's Round of 16 victory over Colombia at the 2026 World Cup. "I told Muri [head coach Murat Yakin] that this was the last penalty I will ever take. I can't handle the nerves anymore," Akanji admitted after the match.
