Liverpool reach agreement with next summer signing Make us your Google favourite Liverpool have reached an agreement on personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain winger Ibrahim Mbaye , according to reports in France. The Senegal international has expressed his desire to leave the Parc des Princes following his lack of game time last season and he is now edging closer to joining Liverpool, who are also in talks to sign his team-mate Bradley Barcola. Andoni Iraola’s side have already bolstered their attack with the signing of Osasuna winger Victor Munoz so far this summer, after hijacking Newcastle United’s deal for the Spaniard, but they remain eager to improve their forward options and a PSG double swoop is now firmly on the cards. Barcola has widely been regarded as Liverpool’s primary target for the remainder of the summer window, and the Reds are locked in talks with PSG in a bid to lower their lofty asking price of €170 million. It’s understood that Barcola is eager to secure an Anfield switch before Transfer Deadline Day, and the Premier League giants are confident that a deal will be struck during the final two weeks of the summer window. Meanwhile, the Reds are also in discussions over a transfer for Mbaye, and they have now agreed a deal with the 18-year-old, according to RMC Sport reporter Fabrice Hawkins. He posted on X : “Liverpool have reached an agreement with Ibrahim Mbaye. The two parties have agreed on the financial terms of a five-year contract. Mbaye has made his choice and does not wish to pursue interest from Bayer Leverkusen. “As exclusively revealed, Liverpool want to sign both Mbaye and Bradley Barcola.” Several Premier League clubs, including Aston Villa and Manchester United, have also expressed their interest in Mbaye this summer, but he appears to be on the verge of joining Liverpool, with the transfer potentially set to result in Cody Gakpo moving to Tottenham Hotspur. Liverpool to sign Ibrahim Mbaye Mbaye is regarded as one of the best young attackers in world football, but PSG are willing to let him leave after completing the signings of Maghnes Akliouche, Ferran Torres and Mika Godts so far this summer. The Senegal forward played 30 times across all competitions for PSG last season, but he was an unused substitute in all of their Champions League knockout ties and he is keen to join Liverpool in search of more regular game time. The 18-year-old, alongside Barcola, was omitted from PSG’s squad to face RC Lens in the French Super Cup final on Sunday and it’s believed that his move to Liverpool will be completed shortly. Once Liverpool have agreed a fee for Mbaye, their attention will then turn to finalising a deal for Barcola.
