Brighton and Hove Albion boss Fabian Hurzeler says he will “see what happens” over the future of Yankuba Minteh , amid interest from Liverpool .
insider reported last week that Liverpool have had two offers worth €58million (£50m) and €70m (£60m) turned down by Brighton for Minteh.
It remains to be seen whether the Reds will look to make a third offer for the 22-year-old, with the Seagulls valuing the winger at around €81m (£70m).
Hurzeler revealed in the lead up to Thursday’s win over Tromso that he held talks with Minteh in an attempt to convince him to stay.
The German has since doubled down on his desire to keep hold of the Gambia international, saying “at the moment he is a Brighton player”.
Speaking to the media on Friday, Hurzeler said of Minteh: “He is a player for Brighton and at the moment there is nothing else to say. I admire from him that when this window is closed that he is fully committed to this club.”

Hurzeler says he understands Minteh has “dreams” of playing at the highest level - something Liverpool can offer via the Champions League this season.
However, the 33-year-old head coach reiterated Brighton will always make decisions based on what is best for them.
He added: “Of course there are always dreams of players and there are some wishes for players. But in the end we always need to figure what is best for the club and therefore we had an exchange with him.
“At the moment he is definitely a Brighton player. I can’t say anything more so let’s see what happens.”
Liverpool targeting two wingers including Barcola
Liverpool are believed to be targeting two wingers ahead of transfer deadline day, which takes place in England next Tuesday (1 September).
The Reds are closing to signing top target Bradley Barcola after agreeing a €140million (£120m) package in principle with Paris Saint-Germain.
Andoni Iraola’s side also had an enquiry rebuffed by Crystal Palace for Ismailia Sarr, having considered the Senegal star as an alternative to Minteh.
Unlike the left-sided Barcola, Minteh and Sarr primarily operate on the right, meaning they were considered potential replacements for Mohamed Salah.
Salah called time on his legendary nine-year spell with Liverpool at the end of last season, and has since joined Turkish giants Trabzonspor on a free transfer.
Liverpool have also been strongly linked with PSG and Senegal winger Ibrahim Mbaye - another attacker who mainly operates on the right flank.
The Merseysiders have so far signed Victor Munoz and Ifeanyi Ndukwe on permanent deals, while Ronald Araujo has moved to Anfield on a season-long loan.
Defender Jeremy Jacquet has also joined Liverpool in a pre-arranged deal that was negotiated before Iraola’s appointment in June.
