Man Utd Eye Myles Lewis-Skelly, Zirkzee Says 'Yes' to Juventus
0
Manchester United are weighing up a bold move for Arsenal's Myles Lewis-Skelly, according to The Independent. The 19-year-old, capable of playing at left-back or in midfield, has reportedly been on United's radar for some time. Arsenal are reluctant to sell this summer, but that stance could change after the expected arrival of Guimaraes. With four years still left on his contract, prising away the England star would be far from straightforward.
Joshua Zirkzee, meanwhile, has reportedly given the green light to a Juventus move. The 25-year-old Netherlands forward has managed only nine goals in 75 appearances for United, and Gazzetta dello Sport claims he has said 'yes' to joining the Serie A giants. Atalanta and Roma were both linked in January, and Juve now appear ready to step up their interest.
United and Aston Villa are also monitoring Juventus midfielder Teun Koopmeiners. Calciomercato reports that the Serie A club are open to selling the Dutchman if they receive an offer worth at least €30m, though a loan with an obligation to buy could also be explored if no permanent deal is agreed before Deadline Day.
Elsewhere, La Liga side Celta Vigo have expressed interest in taking goalkeeper Altay Bayindir on loan for the season, but reports of a completed deal are wide of the mark. Man Utd sources told the media's Chris Wheeler that the Spanish side's interest is genuine while stressing that nothing is finalised. Bayindir made six Premier League appearances last season but is firmly behind Senne Lammens and looks set to leave following the signing of Karl Darlow.
