Man Utd Transfer Update: Tchouameni Talks Held, Scott Rejects Bournemouth, Santos Emerges as Option

0
Manchester United have held exploratory talks with Real Madrid over a move for Aurélien Tchouameni, according to insider sources. The Red Devils have been monitoring the France international as part of their midfield rebuild, and recently reached out to the La Liga giants to gauge their stance on the 26-year-old. However, widespread reports suggest Tchouameni is keen to remain with Real Madrid. Elsewhere, United target Alex Scott has turned down new contract offers from Bournemouth. The 22-year-old midfielder, one of Europe's most sought-after young players, has rejected proposals from the south-coast club amid ongoing interest from Old Trafford. Bournemouth have publicly insisted they have no intention of selling Scott, but his refusal to sign fresh terms could open the door for a move. United also have a genuine chance of signing Chelsea's Andrey Santos this summer, according to transfer insider insider. The club have held meetings with the Brazilian's agent and maintain a good relationship with his camp. Chelsea have not yet received a bid, but are prepared to let Santos leave if an offer exceeds £30 million (€35 million). The 21-year-old is seen as a strong option for United's midfield shortlist. On the goalkeeping front, United are unlikely to sign a new shot-stopper until Altay Bayindir leaves the club. Bayindir, who started the 2025-26 season as No.1 before being overtaken by Senne Lammens, has attracted strong interest from Turkish clubs. The Red Devils are considering a move for free agent Karl Darlow as a potential replacement.
