are paying ‘serious attention’ to as a potential left-wing signing this summer after the star’s impressive start to the 2026 World Cup.
Summerville scored in the Netherlands’ 2-2 draw with Japan on Sunday and The Athletic report that the 24-year-old has become a ‘more appealing’ target for potential clubs after West Ham’s relegation from the Premier League.
One of those teams is understood to be United, with Summerville said to be ranked highly among the options being considered to strengthen at left wing.
United are believed to have enquired about Summerville’s situation and are ‘aware’ that he would cost approximately £50 million (€58m), with the player still tied to West Ham until 2029.

Summerville has proven to be a mercurial talent since moving to England in 2021, first with Leeds before joining the Hammers in 2024 for €29.3m.
The Dutchman scored five times and provided two assists last season before playing 70 minutes in his country’s opener at the World Cup where he netted an impressive strike from range.

Rashford has a release clause of £40m (€46m), although United would be open to negotiating for his exit, with a return to Barcelona not being ruled out and still believed to be the player’s ideal destination.
