Mohamed Salah 'positively inclined' to accept €34m Trabzonspor offer

Mohamed Salah's next destination may finally be taking shape. According to journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, Trabzonspor has made a lucrative offer for the Egypt international, and the 33-year-old is reportedly open to the move. The offer is a two-year contract worth €17 million per season, a total of €34 million. Sabuncuoglu says Salah's agent has already relayed the details and that the former Liverpool attacker is "positively inclined" to accept. Before making a final decision, though, Salah plans to speak to his family. Salah's exit from Liverpool was an unhappy one, with his Anfield deal cut short by a year after a difficult personal season and a breakdown in his relationship with Arne Slot. Since then, he has been linked with the Saudi Pro League and MLS, but Turkey has emerged as the most concrete option. Talks with Besiktas may have collapsed, yet Trabzonspor is now pushing to get a deal done. The Super Lig club will not be in the Champions League this season. Trabzonspor is instead in the Europa League, starting in the unseeded playoff round. Salah could still be registered in time for that tie, which matters because he wants to compete at the top level in Europe for as long as possible - a key reason he has not moved to Saudi Arabia or MLS. If the transfer goes through, Salah would instantly be Trabzonspor's biggest star. The squad would include on-loan Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana, World Cup sensation Sidny Lopes Cabral, former Manchester City and Atletico Madrid midfielder Stefan Savic, and ex-Sheffield United and Rangers defender John Lundstam. A deal of this magnitude would be another statement from Turkish football. The Super Lig has been stockpiling impressive signings, with Victor Osimhen the most prominent example after he chose Galatasaray despite interest from Europe's biggest clubs. Salah joining a team outside the Champions League would underline the league's growing pull.
