Aston Villa are in talks over a club-record deal to sign Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson, writes.
After agreeing a €53 million deal to sell Liam Delap to Nottingham Forest , Chelsea are looking to offload Jackson, with Villa now the clear frontrunners for his signing. The Senegal star is keen to reunite with his former Villarreal boss Unai Emery.
It is believed that discussions are centred around a possible €76m package, while claims that Villa presented a €70m offer on Tuesday. A breakthrough is expected.
Balde to leave Barcelona
Barcelona left-back Alejandro Balde is closer to leaving than he is to staying this summer, as per .
Ever since Man Utd enquired about the Spain international, his situation at Barcelona has devolved into pure chaos. He was omitted from the club's squad for their LaLiga opener and publicly criticised by Hansi Flick.
The player is upset with how he is being treated, while the club are disappointed that he leaked his anger to the media via his entourage. The direction of travel is a clean break before the deadline, although Man Utd will have to make a permanent offer. Barcelona will not accept a loan.
Positive Barcola talks
Liverpool held positive talks with PSG over a deal for Bradley Barcola on Tuesday, understands.
The discussions, also confirmed by , were meant to establish whether or not a deal is feasible before the deadline next week given that there had previously been a gulf in valuation, with PSG demanding up to €170m.
Liverpool are looking for a fee closer to €120m, and there is now optimism that an agreement with PSG can be reached. The Reds are now expected to accelerate their pursuit of the France international.
Chelsea open Ahanor talks
Chelsea have opened talks with Atalanta over Honest Ahanor , according to insider and insider .
The 18-year-old centre-back has emerged as a potential "investment for the future" after impressing in Serie A over the past two years. Ahanor joined Atalanta from Genoa for €16m last year.
The Bergamo club are keen to keep hold of the Italy international and have already rebuffed two offers from suitors this summer. However, there is a positive relationship between Atalanta and Chelsea after the Marco Palestra deal earlier in the window.
Man Utd eye Jeltsch
Man Utd are interested in VfB Stuttgart defender Finn Jeltsch , claims.
The 20-year-old centre-back is regarded as a massive talent and has received glowing praise from Man Utd's scouting department. It is asserted that the Red Devils are mulling over establishing contact with Stuttgart.
However, a move this late in the window is believed to be highly unlikely. Jeltsch is not in a rush to leave, and Stuttgart do not want to lose the defender with just a week to go until the deadline. Man Utd would have to pay at least €50m to get him.
