The summer transfer window continues to deliver drama and Liverpool have hit an unexpected roadblock in their pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola. Barcola has been identified as the Reds' top target, but PSG's own plans have gone awry. The Brazilian has not agreed terms on a new deal and his contract is entering its final 12 months. Reports from SPORT claim Madrid will not even negotiate for anything below €160 million, including add-ons. Arsenal are reportedly willing to make Vinicius their highest-ever earner, with media Sport suggesting finances are no obstacle, but Madrid are holding firm. Julian Alvarez is planning another public plea to force a move from Atletico Madrid to Barcelona. The Argentine feels betrayed by the La Liga giants after they allegedly gave their word they would negotiate if a suitable offer arrived. Now, SPORT reports, Alvarez will make another statement to pressure Atletico. However, Barcelona have been told the striker will not leave for anything less than his €500 million release clause. Bruno Guimaraes has presented an ultimatum to both Arsenal and Newcastle. The midfielder wants his future sorted before he returns to pre-season training on July 31.
