However, the 25-year-old struggled for form and fitness in England, making just 71 appearances in three and half a seasons with Chelsea. And alongside Badiashile, Filip Jorgensen has headed to Strasbourg on loan, while Alejandro Garnacho and Dastan Satpaev have secured temporary moves to Aston Villa and Burnley respectively. Chelsea have also backed new manager Xabi Alonso with the signings of Marco Palestra, Morgan Rogers, Maxence Lacroix, Pep Chavarria, Valentin Barco, Jordan Henderson and Danny Welbeck this summer. Geovany Quenda, Emmanuel Emegha and Denner have also joined Chelsea on deals that were negotiated before Alonso’s appointment in May.
