Liverpool agree deal with Andoni Iraola's perfect summer signing Make us your Google favourite Liverpool have reached an agreement on personal terms with Brighton & Hove Albion winger Yankuba Minteh as they intensify their pursuit of attacking reinforcements. Minteh is currently sidelined with a leg injury he sustained during a pre-season friendly against AS Roma in early August, but he is expected to return to full fitness shortly and this is unlikely to prevent a possible move to Andoni Iraola’s side. In fact, the 22-year-old has been on Liverpool’s radar for several months and they have now finalised contract terms with the Gambia international, as per transfer expert insider . He wants the move, he dreams of joining Liverpool after some African players did great there - from Mo Salah to his idol Sadio Mane - but for the moment we’re still waiting for a club-to-club agreement, which has still not been reached yet.” Liverpool have seen two bids rejected by Brighton, the latest of which was worth €70 million, but they are expected to submit a fresh offer shortly and it’s highly likely that Minteh will become a Reds player before the transfer window closes on 1 September. The 22-year-old is expected to become Liverpool’s first-choice right winger if his proposed move to Anfield goes through, although he will face competition from summer signing Victor Munoz and potentially Rio Ngumoha, who has been tipped to be deployed on the right flank this term. Minteh, who has three years remaining on his current contract at Brighton, has scored 10 goals in 73 games for the Seagulls and data analytics experts SciSports rated him as the best crosser in the entire Premier League last season. Furthermore, his pressing and defensive work-rate aligns perfectly with Iraola’s style of play, so it’s understandable why Liverpool are keen to finalise a deal. Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye latest In addition to Minteh, Liverpool are also working on deals to sign Paris Saint-Germain duo Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye, with the former currently regarded as their top target for the remainder of the summer window. It’s understood that both players are keen to join Iraola’s side, although the Reds are yet to finalise a transfer fee agreement with PSG and their pursuit of Minteh may end their interest in Mbaye. Both players have been excluded from PSG’s matchday squad to face Stade Rennais on Sunday evening and they are expected to depart the Parc des Princes before Transfer Deadline Day, following the arrivals of Maghnes Akliouche, Ferran Torres and Mika Godts.
