Morgan Rogers: ‘Cole Palmer texted me non-stop to get me to Chelsea’

Chelsea have completed the signing of attacking midfielder Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa. In his first interview as a Blues player, the 22-year-old Englishman revealed that Cole Palmer played a decisive role in convincing him to make the move. “Cole has never messaged me as much as he did over the last few days. I know he’s not great with his phone, but this week he outdid himself. It means a lot to know that someone cares that much about me being at this club,” Rogers said. During his time at Aston Villa, Rogers made 125 appearances, scoring 31 goals and providing 29 assists. He also helped the club win the Europa League last season.
