Shakhtar Donetsk sweep past Gorica in pre-season friendly

Shakhtar Donetsk made it two wins out of two on their Slovenian training camp, beating local side ND Gorica 2-0 in Domžale. Pedrinho broke the deadlock just before half-time, slotting home in the 40th minute. Shortly after the restart, the Brazilian turned provider, setting up fellow countryman Alisson to double the lead. That proved to be the final score. Manager Arda Turan fielded two entirely different lineups in each half. The first XI featured Tvardovskyi, Karavaiev, Bondar, Matviienko, Pedro Henrique, Nazaryna, Marlon Gomes, Alisson, Pedrinho, Prosper and Kevin Elias. After the break, Tvardovskyi, Vinicius Tobias, Gram, Matviienko, Pedro Henrique, Bondarenko, Pedrinho, Marlon Gomes, Alisson, Prosper and Traore took the pitch. Shakhtar have two more friendlies lined up: Saturday 25 July against Saudi Arabian side Al-Ula in Brdo, and Sunday 26 July versus Bursaspor in Bursa, Turkey.
