Lyon Agree Personal Terms with Loïs Openda as Endrick Replacement – Loan Talks with Juventus Ongoing

2
Lyon have moved swiftly to address their attacking needs following Endrick’s return to Real Madrid at the end of his loan spell. According to L’Equipe, the Ligue 1 side has identified Juventus striker Loïs Openda as the primary target and already reached a principle agreement with the Belgian over personal terms. The 26-year-old is said to be keen on joining Paulo Fonseca’s project. Lyon are now focused on finalising a loan arrangement with the Serie A club. Juventus are expected to cover the majority of Openda’s wages, which amount to roughly €8 million gross per year. Openda’s season in Turin was underwhelming — just two goals in 34 appearances. Lyon are betting on a revival, hoping the forward can rediscover the form that made him a standout at Lens and RB Leipzig.
