Roma closing in on Bologna striker Santiago Castro

Roma are pushing ahead in negotiations with Bologna over Argentine striker Santiago Castro. The Giallorossi have tabled an initial offer worth €30 million plus an additional €5 million in bonuses for the 21-year-old forward. It has emerged that the bid is very close to Bologna's demands - the Rossoblù were looking for a flat €40 million guaranteed. The two clubs are edging toward a compromise, and sources expect the final round of talks to take place as early as Sunday. Castro has already agreed personal terms with Roma, signing a contract until 2031 worth €2.2 million per season. The Argentine logged 11 goals and four assists in 51 appearances for Bologna last campaign.
