Benjamin Pavard set for Inter exit as Al-Ittihad enters the frame

0
Benjamin Pavard spent the last season on loan at Marseille, with the French club paying a €2.5m fee. Upon returning to Inter, the 30-year-old defender has been deemed surplus to requirements for the upcoming campaign. With two years still left on his contract, the Frenchman is understandably exploring his options. European suitors have been slow to make their move. Marseille passed on the chance to sign him permanently for €15m, but interest from Saudi Arabia is far more concrete. Al-Ittihad is ready to put €20m on the table to secure Pavard's services. Talks between the player's representatives and the Saudi club are ongoing. Last season, the center-back made 38 appearances, scoring once and providing three assists.
