Olympiacos VP admits Yaremchuk and Taremi won't accept bench role
0
Kostas Karapapas, vice president of Olympiacos, has openly addressed the crowded attacking line at the Greek club, which currently includes Ukrainian striker Roman Yaremchuk.
"Our rivals in Greece have one and a half strikers. Do you know how many we have? El Kaabi, Taremi, Yaremchuk, and Clayton. Four players who could start for any other team. Of course, not all four will stay until the start of the season because it's simply impossible for players like Taremi and Yaremchuk to accept less playing time," Karapapas told Sport24.gr.
Yaremchuk is currently preparing for the new campaign with Olympiacos. His contract runs through the summer of 2028. Last season he was on loan at Lyon, where he made 29 appearances, scoring nine goals and providing two assists.
Reports earlier this summer suggested Yaremchuk could leave Olympiacos, and the vice president's comments only reinforce that a departure looks inevitable.
