Roma set to sign Castro from Bologna, Dovbyk heads the other way on loan

Roma are pushing ahead with their summer attacking reinforcements and have reached a broad agreement with Bologna for the transfer of 21-year-old Argentine striker Santiago Castro. The deal is understood to be worth €30 million plus an additional €5 million in bonuses, along with a sell-on clause for the player. Castro is set to sign a contract through 2031, earning a base salary of €2.2 million per season plus performance-related bonuses. But the negotiations between the two clubs didn't stop there - they also wrapped up a separate agreement that will send Ukrainian striker Artem Dovbyk to Bologna on loan for the upcoming campaign. Roma will cover part of Dovbyk's wages, contributing toward his €3.5 million annual salary.
