Galatasaray Make Loan Move for Rafael Leão but Milan Hold Out for Permanent Deal

Galatasaray have made their opening move for AC Milan winger Rafael Leão, but the Turkish champions' proposal has been swiftly rebuffed by the Serie A side. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Galatasaray submitted a loan offer with an option to buy for the 27-year-old Portugal international. Milan, however, have made it clear they will only accept a permanent transfer and are not interested in a temporary arrangement. Leão, whose contract at San Siro runs until the summer of 2028, has already indicated he does not plan to stay with the Rossoneri. He is expected to join the squad for their pre-season tour of Australia on July 29. Meanwhile, rival Turkish club Fenerbahçe have officially denied reports that they were prepared to spend €100 million to land Leão. In the 2025/26 season, the winger netted 10 goals and provided three assists in 31 appearances. Transfermarkt values him at €50 million.
