Girona secure club legend Cristian Stuani for two more years

Girona have officially announced a contract extension with their longtime talisman Cristian Stuani. The 39-year-old Uruguayan striker has signed a new deal that runs until the summer of 2027. This will be Stuani's tenth season at the Catalan club, which was relegated to the Segunda División last campaign. He remains the club's all-time leading scorer with 148 goals in 312 appearances. Last season, the forward netted six times in 22 matches. Girona's squad also includes several Ukrainian players - Viktor Tsygankov, Vladyslav Vanat, Vladyslav Krapyvtsov, and Oleksandr Pyshchur. The new season kicks off on August 16 with a fixture against Leganés.
